The Baroque Sessions

Baroque Photo Session | Elizabeth Craig Photography-003My my my….it’s been a while since I talked about the most awesome of all awesome photo shoots I was so excited to photograph this year. Do you remember my lovely Baroque gal? I know you saw the 2 previous wardrobe changes we had for Christina, including that incredible floral wig and bouquet made by Carmel at Mt. Lebanon Floral. And that crazy-sexy gray wig that Lee Ann at At Home Beauty styled, which we combined with that gorgeous navy skirt I have laying around the studio. Well, this outfit was all about the wig too!

Lee Ann was able to borrow that wig from a friend that styles wigs for the Pittsburgh Opera. And I wanted it big. B.I.G. And Lee Ann got it just right for me. And can you believe that makeup?? That smooth beautiful pale skin was airbrushed onto Christina earlier that day and it carried through all of her outfits.

We couldn’t have come up with a better location to photograph such a period piece than the Mansions on Fifth. If you haven’t been, definitely go and have a drink at the bar, enjoy their Sunday branch, or even better, rent a room and take in the hotel all together and enjoy the area as well. The Mansions on are in the heart of Shadyside so there is lots of shopping, eating and also Mellon Park right up the street that has tons of their own events that you can enjoy.

And I can’t forgot to mention (again) that this shoot was picked up by Flawless Magazine, which I am so thrilled to say! Thank you to all involved for giving Lee Ann’s and my idea life!

And, of course, don’t miss the chance to watch the behind-the-scenes that John captured!
