Meet Nina and Jeff. What a beautiful day it was and boy it did not start out that way. We all woke up to rain, a bit of rain and some more rain. But how funny is that just when you need a ray of sunshine it just finds its way to you??
We photographed for the first time at the Rodef Shalom on Fifth Ave. in Oakland and it was just beautiful. Love the Rabbi there…funny guy. Loved being a fly on a wall for this. For Nina and Jeff this has been a long time coming and you could just feel the emotion coming from every space and from every person with simple delight and buckets of love. Following the signing of the ketubah, each parent had a moment to speak to their children and to both Nina and Jeff as a couple. It filled your heart with so much love. Watching their feelings of sheer happiness well up and spill out into words of love was quite a moment. So emotional was this moment that Jeff’s dad really didn’t say much…just placing a strong hand on Jeff’s shoulder, which is all he really needed to do.
I’m not sure what my favorite part of the day was but I can tell you, watching Nina and Jeff attached at the hip all day was certainly a favorite memory.
Congratulations Nina & Jeff (insert clinking of glasses here)!
