Eek! So excited to share that we have been published again on Style Me Pretty (my mostest favoritest blog ever).

I know you’ve seen a lot from Carrie & Randy’s absolutely magnificent wedding day but please drop by SMP to take a look at our feature!

And by all means, please say hello and leave a comment. We’d love to hear your thoughts!

Hall of Sculptures Weddings | Carnegie Music Hall | Carrie & Randy

And finally….the incredible reception from Carrie & Randy’s wedding day. You’ve seen Carrie getting ready, the beauteous wedding ceremony in the Hall of Sculptures at the Carnegie Museum and the romantic portraiture….now you get to see all the fun!

Carrie & Randy hired Studio E for their band at their reception and they really kept the night going. And I have to say…for those of you teetering on if you should hire a DJ or a band….there is just something about a band at a reception. The energy is different, the excitement is more sizzling and truly it’s a real treat for your guests. We love when we walk in a see and live band because we know it’s going to be a good night for photography. And as you can see, Carrie & Randy’s reception was no exception. The dance floor was PACKED all night long. I have no idea how many elbows I got to the rib cage but it was worth it!

Carnegie Museum Hall of Sculptures Weddings | Carrie & Randy

So very excited for this post. Now, as a wedding photographer there is not one part of the day I’m not in love with. Every step of the day offers something fun to capture whether it’s the jitters, the tradition, the fun, the intimacy, the laughs, the tears, the dancing and letting loose….every moment is a photographer’s dream. Buuuuuuut….if I had to pick just ooooone part of the day that holds a special place in my heart it would be the creative portraiture.

It’s really where I get to stretch my creative legs…so to speak. And every couple is different so every couple experiences this part of the day with us in a different way. Depending on the personalities, the styles, the location…you never know what will inspire us. My goal during this time is to show fun and romance, sweetness and smiles and a true expression of who this couple really is when they’re together.

I know you’ve seen some photos of Carrie getting ready for her wedding day and the ceremony in the Hall of Sculptures at the Carnegie Museum of Art as well (love love love love love…repeat) The day had seriously run late for Carrie & Randy’s wedding day and we found that instead of having about an hour for their creative portraiture we had 15 minutes. Yikes! No fear…we can work miracles in 15 minutes.

So here are a few of my absolute fave’s from their 15 minutes. Not bad, I’d say. ;-)

Carnegie Museum Hall of Sculptures Weddings | Pittsburgh | Carrie & Randy

Well well well…yes, the gorgeousness of Carrie & Randy’s day continues…..

OK–so you got a good look at what it was like for Carrie to get ready for her wedding day. Now I get to show you the wedding ceremony. I am GAH GAH for this ceremony! Carrie & Randy chose to have their ceremony in the Hall of Sculptures at the Carnegie Museum of Art and….wow…I mean WOW!!!! See for yourself below….

Beautiful People | Pittsburgh Wedding Photographers

I’ve been in an editing frenzy lately and I just keep coming back to these 3 photos. Not only do I love all 3 of these photos for different reasons but part of the reason I love each of them is because each and every one is a beautiful person. Of course I’m talking about their insides as much as their outsides. :)

Every time I sit in front of my computer and am immersed in my editing process I am reminded what wonderful people we get to work with every weekend. John and I somehow must be the luckiest photographers out there because we always seem to attract the coolest, most sweetest couples to work with.

John and I are leaving today to shoot a wedding over the weekend and I just wanted to leave you with a few of my fave photos of a few of my fave people (here I would like to give a little love to Randy, the groom to Carrie, who is the one lone bride in the first photo below. Dearest Randy–I had a million photos of both of you together but just couldn’t get this one of your beautiful bride off my mind…gotta follow my gut. But know that you are on that list of Beautiful People too! xoxo ;-) )

This One’s for the Girls! | Hall of Sculptures Weddings | Omni William Penn | Carrie & Randy

So boys, just go ahead now and click on some other link….this one’s for the girls. Saturday John & I photographed one of the most spectacular weddings. Yes, the glitz, glamour, details and hub-bub was truly wonderful…see below. But truly what made this day so special was the bride and groom and the incredible people they chose to surround themselves with for the day. Most of us would say we could choose maybe 3 friends at most that would qualify as our closest friends but it is a testament to Carrie’s true character that she could choose NINE to stand by her side. And each was truly there for her. Every moment, every detail and every tear was celebrated to the fullest with this crew and it was a joy to be able to be the photographer that capture it all.

As you can see above, Carrie is absolutely stunning. I mean…just plain gorgeous. However, hopefully what you can also see in the photos below is that it is the beauty inside of her that far outshines the beauty on the outside….which as you can see is quite a lot. ;-)

This blog post is all about the details in the beginning of the day and capturing Carrie as she dressed and then saw all of her bestest friends for the first time in her gown. She couldn’t quit crying and I couldn’t quit snapping away. And of course I end it with the romance of the First Look between Carrie & Randy. So stinkin’ sweet.

Now, I say this one’s for the girls because it is one of the girliest of girlie posts for me. It’s all flowers, shoes, jewels and the love of besties.

Enjoy. ;-)

Ladies can I get a “Helllllooo Monique!” for that Monique Lhuillier gown??

And boy I wish I came up with that idea for those Jimmy Choos…they are the most popular style this season! Hellllloooo Jimmy! So good to see you again. ;-)

We all know it takes a village….

Carrie was really smart for her styling. She flew her stylist in from New York because he knows her hair best. And her makeup stylist is the best man’s girlfriend and good friend of Carries. She left nothing to chance…as no girl should.

“I’m getting married today!”

“Oh my gosh! I’m getting married today!!” :)

“That’s right! I’m getting MARRIED today!” ;-)

Need I even say there is so much more of this to come??
